Cajun Chicken & Sausage Sandwich

A delicious southern twist on our Sausage Penne sandwiched between two delicious, fluffy, and garlicy buns.

Beehive Meals Sausage Penne
1/4 tspCajun Seasoning
2French Buns
8 SlicesChicken Breast (sliced)
2Provolone Cheese Slices
1/4Red Bell Pepper (julienned)
1/4Green Bell Pepper (julienned)
1/4Yellow Bell Pepper (julienned)
1/4Red Onion (sliced)
1/4Garlic Salt
To TasteCajun Seasoning

Instructions

Step 1:

Follow Slow Cooking instructions according to directions for Sausage Penne.

Add cajun seasoning to Beehive Meals Sausage Penne and stir until combined. 

Step 2:

Prepare and slice bell peppers and red onion. In a medium skillet, heat about 1 Tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Then add peppers and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until slightly soft. After the peppers are cooked about halfway through, add onions and cook for about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3:

Butter inside of french buns, and lightly season with garlic salt. Broil in oven at 450 degrees for about 6 minutes, until perfectly golden brown. 

Top with 4 slices of deli chicken breast and a slice of provolone cheese. Place back in oven and broil until cheese is melted. 


Step 4:

Remove from oven and top with sauteed peppers and onions, and 1/4 cup of Beehive Meals Sausage Penne. Place bun on top of sandwich and lightly press down, then serve and enjoy!
