Hawaiian Haystacks Pot Pie

 A creative and delicious take on the traditional pot Pie.

Recipe and Ingredients

1 cup
Beehive Meals
Hawaiian Haystacks Chicken
2Individual Small Pie Tin/Dishes
4Cut Pie Crust Dough
2 tbspMinced Onion
1/3 cupDiced Carrots
3 tbspDiced Celery
 3/4 tspMinced Garlic
1 and 1/2 tbspUnsalted Butter
1/3 cupFrozen Peas


Step 1:

Follow Slow Cooking Instructions to cook chicken from our Hawaiian Haystacks.

Step 2:

In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Next add the carrots, celery, onions and garlic. Cook until tender, stirring occasionally

Step 3:

Add required amount of Beehive Meals Hawaiian Haystacks and the frozen peas to mixture. Stir until completely combined.

Next remove from heat and set aside while you roll out the pie dough.

Step 4:

Preheat oven according to the directions on your pie crust.

Step 5:

Place one pie crust in each pie tin and press along the inside edges of the pie tin.

Next fill pie crust with Beehive Meals Hawaiian Haystacks and vegetable mixture. 

Repeat for every Pot Pie.

Step 6:

Place second pie crust on top. Pinch/Fold crust to your desired design until completely closed. Cut three small slits on top of the crust to allow air to release during cooking.

Repeat for every Pot Pie.

Step 7:

Scramble egg/eggs in a small bowl and brush on top of pie crust. This helps turn the crust golden brown.

Repeat for every Pot Pie.

Step 8:

Bake in oven according to instructions on your pie crust.

Finally after baking let pie cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
