Cheesy, ooey, gooey, islandy Kalua Pork goodness sandwiched between two perfectly toasted sourdough buns, transporting you to paradise with every bite you take.
|1 cup||Beehive Meals Kalua Pork|
|2||Sourdough Bread Slices|
|4||American Cheddar Cheese Slices|
|1 tsp||Olive Oil|
|1/4||Yellow Onion (sliced)|
|1/2 tsp||Garlic (minced)|
|To Taste||Salt & Pepper|
|For Drizzle||Polynesian Sauce|
Follow Slow Cooking Instructions to cook Kalua Pork.
In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and saute onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until onions are soft and almost transparent.
Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Place buttered side down in a separate skillet over medium heat. Place a slice of cheese on the bread then top with 1/2 serving (1/2 cup) of Beehive Meals Kalua Pork and a large spoonful of the sauteed onions and garlic mixture. Top with another slice of cheese and drizzle with Polynesian or Teriyaki sauce. Place other slice of bread on top (buttered side facing up). Lightly season with garlic salt.
Cook until golden brown on each side.
