Kalua Pork Hot Dog

A traditional hot dog turned into a tropical vacation with every bite. With Kalua Pork, a sweet and tangy sauce, grilled onions, and fresh pineapple mango salsa, you won't ever eat a hot dog the same again.

1/2 tspGarlic (minced)

For DrizzlePolynesian or Teriyaki Sauce 
PINEAPPLE MANGO SALSA:
1 cupFresh Pineapple (diced)
1/4 cupFresh Mango (diced)
1/4 cupRed Bell Pepper (diced)
1 tspJalapeno (minced)
1/4 cupRed Onion (diced small)
1 TbspFresh Cilantro (chopped)
1/2Fresh Lime, Juice From
1 tspFresh Lemon Juice
1/4 tspSalt
1/8 tspBlack Pepper

Instructions

Step 1:

Follow Slow Cooking Instructions to cook Kalua Pork.

Step 2:

In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and saute onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until onions are soft and almost transparent.

Step 3:

Add all the ingredients for Pineapple Mango Salsa in a bowl and combine. Set aside.

Cook hot dog and place in bun. Top with 1/4 serving (1/4 cup) of Beehive Meals Kalua Pork and drizzle with Polynesian sauce or your favorite sweet teriyaki sauce.

Step 4:

Top with a spoonful of cooked onions and 1/4 cup of the Pineapple Mango Salsa.

Serve with your favorite chips, mac salad, or side salad and enjoy!
