Cheesy Beef Marinara with Spaghetti Squash

Roasted spaghetti squash topped with hearty, slow-cooked Cheesy Beef Marinara and a sprinkle of Parmesan for a wholesome, low-carb twist on a classic.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups Beehive Meals Cheesy Beef Marinara
1/2 Spaghetti Squash
1/4 cup Red Onion, finely diced
1/2 teaspoon Garlic, minced

To taste: 
Fresh shredded parmesan cheese
Salt
Pepper
Italian Seasoning
Olive oil

Instructions

1. Follow Slow Cooking Instructions to cook Beehive Meals Cheesy Beef Marinara.

2. Carefully slice spaghetti squash in half, scoop out seeds, and puncture skin in 8-10 different places on each half. Then, place face up on a cooking sheet that is covered with tinfoil and drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt and cracked pepper. Then flip and bake in the oven, face down, at 400 degrees for 40 minutes until tender.

3. Remove from oven and allow to cool until it is cool enough for you to be able to touch it.

4. While spaghetti squash is cooling down, finely dice the red onion. Heat up a small sauce pan with approximately 1 Tablespoon of olive oil. Saute red onions, season to taste with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings. Once onions are cooked, add minced garlic and saute until fragrant.

5. Use a fork to "shred" the spaghetti squash. Add the onions to the spaghetti squash and mix until combined. Transfer to serving dish and top with fresh shredded parmesan.

6. Plate spaghetti squash and top with Beehive Meals Cheesy Beef Marinara. Serve with a side salad and enjoy!
