A simple, yet delicious Pasta Carbonara enhanced with our Parmesan Herb Chicken.

1/2 cup | Beehive Meals Parmesan Herb Chicken |
2 Strips | Thick Cut Bacon |
4 oz | Linguine |
1 tsp | Minced Garlic |
2 Tbsp | Finely Minced Red Onion |
2 | Eggs |
1/4 cup | Shredded Parmesan Cheese |
2 Tbsp | Heavy Cream |
2 Tbsp | Fresh Chopped Basil |
To Taste | Salt + Pepper |
To Taste | Crushed Red Pepper Flakes **optional** |
Step 1:
Follow Slow Cooking Instructions to cook chicken from our Parmesan Herb Chicken.
Step 2:
In a bowl, combine eggs, seasonings, basil, parmesan cheese, and heavy cream.
In a large pot, boil pasta in salted water. Strain, making sure to keep 1 cup of pasta water before straining, then set aside.
In a large saute pan, cook bacon bits. Strain most of the grease, then for 1 minute, saute garlic and minced onion. Add Beehive Meals Parmesan Herb Chicken. Reduce heat to low and add pasta.
Step 3:
Allow to sit and cool for a few minutes to prevent the eggs from becoming scrambled.
Once the mixture is not hot, add egg mixture, continually tossing and stirring pasta. After combining for a few minutes, add pasta water 1 Tablespoon at a time until pasta is creamy.
Step 4:
Top with parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Serve with garlic bread, and enjoy!
