Cooking Instructions

Step 1:

Set time. Cook in slow cooker on LOW for 1-2 hours [thawed] or 2-3 hours [frozen].

Step 2:

Thirty minutes before meal is done cooking, boil water and cook elbow noodles. Drain water, then add elbow noodles to Green Chile Mac n' Cheese.

Step 3:

Serve as desired.

Slow Cooker (Crockpot) Sizes

The size of your crockpot can affect the outcome of your meal. If your crockpot is smaller than what we recommend, you may need to cook your meal a little longer. If it’s larger than what we recommend you may need to shorten the cooking time. You will need to keep a close eye on the chicken as it cooks. Here are the crockpot sizes we recommend for each meal size to help cook your meals just right:

Smaller Portion (SP) - 3-Quart Crockpot
Regular Portion (RP) - 4-Quart Crockpot
Bigger Portion (BP) - 6-Quart Crockpot

Serving Suggestions

This mac n' cheese is so delicious, everybody will be asking for seconds. Keep it simple and serve it as is with a side of veggies and garlic bread. Or take it one step further and transfer the Green Chile Mac n' Cheese to a baking dish, cover with pepperjack and/or monterey jack cheese, then sprinkle with bread crumbs, and broil in oven until cheese is melted and breadcrumbs are slightly toasted. 

This meal comes with prepackaged elbow noodles, but you can switch it up and use any of your favorite pastas! Some of our favorite noodles to use in place of elbow noodles for mac n' cheese are cavatappi, farfalle, medium shells, large elbow noodles, rotini noodles, radiatori, or more!
