We teamed up with our friends at Perk Energy to create something truly unexpected: Beehive Meals’ Sweet Pork Hot Cocoa... as a fun April Fool's joke.
While the product itself might not be hitting shelves anytime soon, the collaboration behind it is 100% real and honestly, one of the most fun collaborations we’ve ever done.
The best part of this whole campaign? Filming the video with our founder, Allyse, and Perk’s founder, Rena.
From the moment we got on set, it was clear this was going to be chaos in the best way. There was a lot of laughing, a lot of “wait… should we actually say that?” and a surprising amount of commitment to selling the idea like it was completely real.
We leaned all the way in talking through flavor notes, pairing ideas, and acting like Sweet Pork Hot Cocoa was the next big thing. Behind the scenes, though, we were just having the best time collaborating, getting creative, and building something fun together.
Even though Sweet Pork Hot Cocoa is (sadly? thankfully?) not real, this collaboration represents something we love: partnering with brands that make life easier and more enjoyable.
At Beehive Meals, we’re all about simplifying mealtime. And Perk does the same for your drinks: quick, easy, and actually enjoyable.
So while we may not recommend mixing your dinner into your cocoa… we do recommend trying both of our brands for a seriously easy meal + drink combo.
